The Ultimate Key to a Clean and Safe Environment…Leading to a Zero Carbon Emissions Future
We eliminate tons of daily waste with Zero carbon emissions!
First, by utilizing revolutionary, proprietary components in our waste converters, we are able to achieve considerably higher processing temperatures necessary for the processing of plastics and other feed stocks. This is important as it significantly increases energy production and the amount of electricity available for economic growth and development.
Our business and social philosophy is to “turn waste into wealth” by diverting thousands of tons of waste from landfills and waterways into clean electricity.
A new World Bank study projects a 70% global increase in urban solid waste – with developing countries facing the greatest challenges. The projected rise in the amount of waste, from 1.3 billion tons per year today to 2.2 billion tons per year by 2025, is projected to raise the annual global costs from $205 billion to $375 billion.
"Waste is polluting our air, waterways and environment, and affecting the health of millions of people around the world." According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC.ch), landfill emissions account for 18% of the total methane emissions into the atmosphere, ranging from 9 to 70 megatons annually. The methane has a global-warming potential that is 21 times greater than CO2. Eliminating the open dumpsites and landfills is critical to reducing the amount of green house gases.
In January 2007, the United Nations Inter-governmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) issued its 4th report. The major finding is that scientists are 90% certain that human activities over the last 50 years, such as the burning of fossil fuels, have led to “global warming” or “climate change.” These findings are increasingly being brought into the mainstream in various ways, due to the increased awareness and attention on unseasonably warm weather across parts of the globe. Action is required!
Approximately 63% of global warming is attributable to carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions, with the majority of CO2 emissions coming from the burning of fossil fuels. Methane is another greenhouse gas, and at more than 21 times the potency of carbon dioxide, it is ranked as a dangerous contributor to global warming. The largest source of man-made methane emissions in the World come from landfills, but methane is also emitted from coal mines, oil and gas operations, and agriculture.
"Climate change is undeniable. Climate action is unstoppable. And climate solutions provide opportunities that are unmatchable". UN Secretary General !
Dumpsites are the global symbol of unsustainable consumption and production. Urban waste generation is projected to increase dramatically in the next 12 years, growing from 1.3 billion tonnes per year today to 2.2 billion tonnes per year by 2025, with high increases in middle-income developing countries.
The most common environmental issues for dumpsites relate to surface water, groundwater, and soil contamination from potentially toxic elements (‘heavy metals’ and metalloids); air pollution from open surface burning of materials, underground fires fueled by landfill gas, and gas leakage; and biodiversity problems as fauna consumes either directly solid waste, or contaminated plants and/or animals and flora contaminated from leakage and waste and affected by the gas emissions.
